What happened:

Captain of the vessel suggested to use the Brine tank for the Premix as Premix does not contain barite and therefore it is no need for agiators in bulk tanks. Premix is only oil.

Have OBM Premix onboard vessel, but due to combination of WBM/OBM it was not room for the required volume.

Good dialog with the captain in solving the problem upfront and use brine tank for premix.

What Was Done

Used brine tanks for Premix, MI Swaco onshore team did not recommend it in general, but Mud engineer and Captain of the vessel supported it.
