What happened:
In DG1-DG2 rig screening strategy the project landed on 1.5 or Dual derrick rig and all time and cost estimates was done based on that, but in DG3 phase the C&P approached for rig mainly focused related to rig market and contractors available offers based on project timeline.
What was planned:
Rig screening screening for development phase of Brasse project has been done in two stages, in DG1-DG2 and DG3 and landed with different decisions and results.
What was learned:
Rig screening strategy should be done properly integrated between D&W team plus C&P team that both technical, performance and final cost consequences and company budgeting plan to be reflected for rig selection.
What actions are required:
A proper documentation of decisions on different phases and justifications required for deviation from early stages of project to final decision and MoC be applicable on screening and contracting strategy as well.
